Why Holistic Learning
Holistic Learning helps learners and educators learn the way people really learn: with the brain, the heart and culture working together. For adult learners, that means practical Spanish you can actually speak, taught by native speakers who know the language from real life. For teachers, it means tools that work in real classrooms, built from years of experience in South America and the United States.
My story
I was born and raised in Venezuela. Before settling in Ecuador, I lived in Colombia, Peru and Chile, and each place taught me something new about how Spanish is really spoken.
In Ecuador I fell in love with teaching. I earned my degree in Teaching English as a Second Language and later my Cambridge CELTA, and I spent more than ten years teaching English to children, teenagers and adults across South America. While living there, I traveled to Mexico twice, which gave me an even broader view of the language and its cultures.

Later I moved to the United States, where I now teach Spanish in a high school in South Carolina. Together with my co-founder, Juan Velásquez, I've also taught Spanish to adults here in the United States, helping them build the confidence to actually speak.
I hold a master's degree in Curriculum Design, Educational Projects and Evaluation, and I've worked as a Cambridge speaking examiner and led professional development sessions for teachers. Across every classroom and every country, I've seen the same thing: people learn best when they feel safe, connected and seen.
